Detroit, 1969-74. Sir Ghastly Graves and the Ghoul. This is Detroit when the Stooges ruled. Dig the Alice Cooper make up and My funny Valentine. This is Detroit TV. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ai5qktbixuA

Sir Graves is bringing back memories. Waaaay cooler than all this vapid 'reality tv' crap.
Clips of The Soupy Sales show might be more apropos. His on-air requests to keep fan-mail below X number of words had a big influence on the haiku-like minimalism of Iggy's early lyrics.

Trailerborn, must be a Michigan resident. They are becoming fewer by the day.

I live in Windsor, Canada. We're surrounded on 3 sides by Michigan & right across the river from Detroit. Windsor is also an auto town and - just like Detroit - we are beyond fucked. The only reason anyone is left in Michigan is that nobody can sell their homes as they were purchased at inflated prices during the real-estate bubble. Tragic that things have slid this far but I'm sure the the powers-that-be have a new world-war on the horizon to 'righten the ship'. (I'm getting a bit worried about N/S Korea)
Hopefully some real music can come out of this mess as it usually does during trying times.

Yeah, Michigan has seen better times, but it's like anything else it will all come around at some point. It's all cyclical. I grew up in the Detroit suburbs have lots of family there. It's tough, just like Detroit.
