Subject: Ron Hoyer guitar question Sun Aug 08, 2010 10:58 am
from a reader in Hawaii he has a question you all may know?
I drop you a line in reference to a guitar I own. It was previously owned by Ron Asheton in the last stages (the 2 guitar) line up of the Stooges and he played it in the New Order. It looks like a white Les Paul but it's made by a German company called Hoyer. I'd spoken to Ron about it and he remembered it fondly. What I'm looking for is if there are any photos from that era with him playing it? There is a picture of the guitar on my facebook photos, "My Guitars". Any help or ideas you might have would be much appreciated. All the best... rock n roll forever!

I've been scouring "the Google" for images of Ron with his various axes and have as of yet to find a photo of the guitar in question. I did find these adverts for the "Reverend - Ron Asheton Signature Guitar." If I were a guitar player in a band, I would want one of these. Even if they were made in South Korea.
