PostSubject: I have a Question   I have a Question Icon_minitimeFri Jan 07, 2011 3:38 am

Did The Stooges start recording Raw Power
then they played King Cross Cinema?

Or did they play King Cross then started recording Raw Power?

I hear different stories.
Can anyone help me to get the story straght?

Thanks Smile

The band made some recordings in London - "I Got A Right" "I'm Sick Of You" etc, around the time of the Kings Cross gig on 15th July.
The Raw Power album was recorded in September 1972 after the earlier recordings from late July were rejected by MainMan mainman Tony DeFries. Good though the earlier recordings are I think that the finished Raw Power makes for a much stronger album.
Cheers,
Richard
