Check out the version on Live at the Whisky 16th September 1973, for me the absolute best version of this.

I agree. And the version on Revenge Records Open Up And Bleed is glitch free. All other versions I've heard of this performance ( including another Revenge product, Live At the Whisky A Go Go ) contain a glitch near the beginning of the song where some subsequent tape damage occurred.

Likewise, "She Creatures Of The Hollywood Hills" from the same night at the Whisky (or at least the same stand), which I'm sure most people would agree is the best version, is glitch free on the Night Of Destruction box set whereas all other versions I've heard (including the aforementioned Revenge Live At The Whisky A Go Go CD) contain a glitch , deep within the song, where some later tape damage occurred. The version on the box set also includes Iggy's pre-song banter which all other versions I've heard omit.

Anyway, I don't know if this point has been raised before, but this is my contribution to the Stooges Forum in terms of Quality Awareness.

Didn't know that but thanks.

Also agree with you on She Creatures, the boys really whipped up an awesome rhythm on this one.
