On that 1981 pic, I wasn't aware that the three of them were in contact with each other. That does not EVEN look like Scott there, though I know it is. Ron had hardly changed there from the old days. Obviously he's eating a lot better these days.

Sorry about the Ron comment... He does look good in general, actually better than the other two, aging-wise.

The following pics where taken in 2004 at the Roskildfestival, my first and only Stooges gig. They played when it was raining extremly heavy, like it did for almost all that summer, that made it muddy as hell. A great gig even if it was quite few people that was there to see them.

I, my stupid fool, bougth an enitre four day festival ticket (couldnt buy less for that day) just to see Stooges. It was by far the most expensive gig Ive ever seen, so to speak, and it wasnt cheaper since I missed the ferry home to Sweden so I had to buy another ticket for another shipping company since I wouldnt wanna wait another six hours for the first morning boat. If I dont remember wrong I paid almost 4000 SEK ($1 =7 SEK you do the math ) for just that gig. And it was worth every penny I spent on it!

The cam is a quite small and old 2 mpix camera so it not the best quality possible.



































And yes it was wet as a fuck...

at $28,000 U.S., you get the most extravagant Stooges fan award.

I think you have the math backwards, it's 7 krona to $1.

Well Im VERY lousy with numbers so EyeGee was right $1 costs 7 SEK and I changed it in the first post too

I gets it to slightly more than $570 and I would pay it again any day if I need to.

Rock & Folk is one of the few rock magazines we have in France - the only I can read without buying it. I don't really like that mag, for different reasons, but some of the writers are Iggy fans, so there are articles like "why are the Stooges the best band ever". There was an interview of Iggy from 2003, where he talked about Skull Ring. Some photos are already here ; I'll upload some others, can be interesting.

For the photo : "ah, that's why I didn't recognise him" (I wouldn't have thought they'd make an error, but, well, I once saw the Stooges' guitarist was Scott Asheton )
I don't know where it's from, there's no indication of date, place or photographer.

I read again that other article, and the writer was talking about a show with Williamson ... Yes, Scott Asheton played guitar with the Stooges in 1971 ! He wore a black leather jacket with the swastika on teh back.

And it's "the" rock magazine.
