i agree zin, iggy does have a good sense of styles nad loads of different ones throughout his career, so its good to see a couple 'clothed' shots here lol

I think we all get on pretty well here, theres no trolls or people who are dicks. Which makes a very nice change from a lot of forums. Smile

very true G, it spoils it if there is a sour person, or especially, i hate those idiots who are probly like 4ft 3 and hate themselves nad act like assholes online cause they know they can get away with it, thats annoyin, but theres none of that here thank god

and we all have a nice totally healthy obsessive love for stooges lol which is good, everywhere in ''the real world'' im perceived as a nut because i keep talking about iggy and the stooges lol

does anyone else experience that, maybe its just me, i dont talk about them alot, just if they come up u'no, but do people think you're strange because of your love for them, or a particular band or watever - though my friends dont really like music that much, they like it enough, but dont like go see bands or anything, so i must seem crazy, although i love music so much, but does anyone have that poeple think you're crazy? lol

Yeah my friends reakon I'm pretty obsessed. But most of my friends aren't really into music except a couple - one who likes pop punk and one who likes prog rock. So we don't really have any musical tastes in common at all Laughing

All my music conversations end up talking about The Stooges show. And a few people take the piss out of me because "I Wanna Be Your Dog" is my favourite song...they don't understand its greatness Very Happy

Most music loving people at my school are technically obsessive, I have purposely chosen not to learn any real chords (power chords for me) so I get more feeling in more simply. When were asked to play a song riff on the keyboard everybody did Metallica or Dream Theater (i.e. crap) I played the notes : G, F# and E over and over again.

thank god, thats exactly like me, everyone thinks im insane or have like a mancrush on iggy or something, though i do love him! lol

but yeh, i did the exact same musically too, my friend wenever we play guitar together its all these pre-existing solos, like hes already worked them all out and plays them over and over u'no, and with that look of ''how cools this" and im just rolling my eyes lol

but yeh i never learn anything, any songs or anything, unless i really want to, like i recently learnt sea of love, just cause i was listenin to it and wanted to learn it, its a really good song, and tom waits/cat power nad iggy have covered it so i thought i should too lol

well least im not the only one who feels like an outsider lol

I've been trying to convince the band I'm in for ages to play a twisted cover of it but they refuse Evil or Very Mad

I'm rather fond of the orginal by Phil Phillips especially on the crackly old single I have of it.

Poor guy, he wrote and performed the song but never got paid a penny for it. Well he got paid $6,800 for recording it. One of the most succesful pop songs ever and he never got anymore money off of it. Then to make things worse because he disagreed with his record company (who wanted all the rights to it) they cancelled an album that was due to capitilise on his success. A classic case of the music buisness ripping somebody off.

Thats another musical thing I seem to go on about a lot - Phil Phillips getting ripped off. Poor guy Sad

that is a terrible story, thats why i dont understand why people just DONT use the music industry, like if i ever get the balls to release, or even sing stuff i have, im just gunna post it online for free and get money from touring - i should state i will intentinoally live a modest life too lol, i know givin away music isnt exactly a path of gold lol but i wouldnt care, or at least if i was a bigger band like stones o something i would give it away free, spose its not really them anyway, its the companies like you said, still a terrible story for a really great song

Yeah its a real shame.

Big labels mean big exposurewhich means a bigger influence I guess.

Big bands are giving albums away for free though. Nine Inch Nails new album "The Slip" is free off of their website. Smile
