The Stooges wiki (and Iggy Pop?)

i mentioned this in another thread, but to boost the idea even more with the recent passing this is something i would love to get done.

i was interested in creating and maintaining a wiki for the stooges (and maybe iggy? i'm just afraid it would be overshadowed by ig, yet i wouldn't want to have two separate ones really...)

i want to cover a lot of shit though...think of it as an archival database of some sort.

- correct information
- tour guide
- set lists (w/ set list/ticket scans, etc.)
- song guide
- bootleg guide
- studio sessions
- proper discographies (with scans/id labels, etc.)

some may think (not here) that it's kind of pointless, but i would rather have this on wikia on a free subdomain then to have a website to pay money for (especially if decided later to switch it all over to a .com/.net/what ever domain.

it's pretty much a non-profit fan project. i'm really tired of seeing wikis getting vandalized or having the wrong information. you know how it is...you put in the right info and then some little fool resubmits the old stuff.

This is a great idea, I'd be happy to help out where I can (making articles etc), I'm sure iggy-fan could help you with bootleg and discography guides.

If you are including solo Iggy Pop stuff may I think you shoul include bands that the other band members were in i.e. The New Order, Destroy All Monsters.

yeah, i planned to toss in the side projects too. i should of mentioned that. i don't plan to take all credit for it or any thing of course, that isn't my deal. i just want a site of factual information for people. some can't afford cds, books, all that jazz.

wikia.com - it's a hosting site of free wikis. just like the same ones you see on wikipedia.com

Well, Much of this you have on my site. If someone professional take that information further and do something better. It´s ok with me. I did it for my own use at the begining.
