| his is a thread that Homesick James Williamson and ZinZin came up with so they deserve all praise. Its basically a chance to show off some of your own takes on Iggy or Stooges album art. Here's my version of "Lust For Life": | |

| woooow people this is a good thread!! you made a bunch of great covers. especially like the soldier one GFE and the blahblah one HJW with iggy's portrait - these eye's not for the aesthetics but for the fun of it: maybe this is how the rejected version of Beatem Up - as Iggy once suggested it - should look like search for the 5 differences |

in one of the interviews Iggy gave, he told that he came with a cover suggestion for BEU, but the combination of elements in the picture were rejected..cuz too wild and unattractive; a sexy tough build woman in bikini with an abundance of pubic hair coming out, holding a cigarette, a revolver + a sailor tattoo on her arm. 'They' (?) told him that such a cover would be too repulsive. so they came with an adapted version of it to my opinion it was a good cover idea.. especially for that album Wish to have seen Iggy's original version. i couldn't resist to make my version of it since i heard iggy's story, a picture stuck in my head. it's too often that good and fun ideas r getting killed cuz of mediocre marketing concepts. I'm curious what you people r thinking about the original idea and the adapted version of that Beatem Up cover .

| Homeboy, that BEU cover of yours was pretty cool! Looks pretty much like what Iggy had in mind... Maybe it would look even cooler with less detailed tattoos that are of simpler design, like a black anchor etc. Would suit the overall color scheme of the cover better maybe? Just a thought... | |

Comaman thnx for the compliment but I made the funked up version of BEU..not Homesick I tried earlier to make one more simple and with the same colours as the original cover, same idea as you had... but i thought it's lookin a bit boring. but maybe you like this one better .. the skull fits very well to iggy his styling/image don't you think? and i couldn't find a simple anchor nah... actually i'm not a fan at all of iggy's skull-style-image. |

| Ooh, sorry, ZZ, I guess I got confused about who did what there... My idea would be to use only black for the tattoos and put one on the left arm (closer to the wrist than it is now) and one on the right leg. Just some simple cheezy designs like the anchor popeye had on his arm. You get my idea? Real simple. And something different for the leg...In the same vein... I also want to say that HomeSick's Soldier attempt with the eagle logo was cool! Well done! And thanks Nadja for the compliment! | |

| I used to hate Bauhaus-it was such a '70s' font. Oddly, that's why I like it, now... | |
