i like deep purple alot, saw them the final night of montreux jazz festival, previous night saw stooges, both were amazing, 40th anniversary of it, really cool

smoke on the waters a bit overplayed, though all those big 'rock' tunes are, like sweet child of mine or whatever, and good to hear iggys a fan, mightve been at then same concert as him, apparently the strokes watched stooges play at montreux too

'Black Night' is the one song by Deep Purple that ISN't pompous and overblown. It's brilliant.
