Asheton brothers lived in Wash DC area?

Does anybody know what years the Ashetons brothers lived in the Washington, DC area? Did they play in any local rock bands (there was a very active teen club scene in the 50s-60s in this area) during their stay?
I've been told that they resided in DC for a while and I've been told that they actually resided in nearby College Park, Maryland. I'm just trying to get the basic facts. Thanks!
