Not intending to take anything away from the first album! Just saying that Ron, Scott and Dave all increased the scope of their playing abilities between the 2 albums. My personal favourite is "Fun House," but what I play the most is my mix album that alternates songs between "The Stooges" and "Fun House." Listening Heaven.

i keep getting bursts of excitement for this boxset at random times, like listening to buddy holly yesterday, then again at 4am trying to sleep, lol

Sorry guys. bad news. they are not shipping today, I emailed easyaction to make sure everything was cool, sadly there was another mistake, he said this time is was EA's fault. But he said the are close because only 200 copies were made up. So hopefully this will be a quick fix. and hopefully will ship out Mid-way of next week ... ? Keep hangin in here guys, they are VERY close

Probably makes no difference as there's another 3 day postal strike here in London so they probably couldn't post until Wednesday anyway.

theres a thread about the 'holy grail' of stooges recordings, and i think most people agreed it was like the early 1968/69 stuff live or la scala kings cross gig, i think its the 1971 boxset, seems impossible to get a hold of!

I got a note from EA yesterday in response to a postage inquiry I made that mentioned that they are making a change to the packaging...here's an excerpt from that email:

"Our production guy has seen a finished one and says it looks fantastic although they are changing the board thickness as the weight of the contents is too much for the board we have chosen so more delay for a few days im afraid but we have the finishing line in sight now !! "

I'm hoping maybe they can get it out Monday, Or Tuesday...

the t-shirts are printed and at EA headquarters (whoever printed them went bust shortly afterwards!)pity they werent posted first seperately

that explains the latest update on the website, that you can no longer order the tshirt gift set

best stooges shirt i've seen is the "1970 Tour" one sold at the London Meltdown concert grey and silver with cig burns and stitched so it looks inside out!

This all seems a bit unprofessional to me. I'll bet they didn't even have anything printed up until they received a certain amount of pre-orders.

JLTS and lolakelly have reported there was another mistake and it'll be midweek next week, they'll probably ship it tuesday or something,i dunno, i was really looking forward to having it already, i have a point were i wait for something and then after a while dont care lol, thats where im at now, just whenever it gets here kinda thing

EA Website now has the boxset only for £39.99 with UK delivery of £1.49. The 71 website still shows £29.99 without the t-shirt with £2.99 delivery. They upping the price then?

It's on amazon.co.uk for 31.29 but the release date on there is September 28!

at this rate the next stooges album will be released first!

I looked at a swedish website (cdon.com) and price there was set to about £112,41 !?!?! And the release date is set to September 29

Interesting 'cos Carlton said it was to be sold only through the website.

is there any danger of someone in the know posting in this thread? I'd just like to know if it's been sent out or not yet, and if not, when the current release date is. It's not too much to ask to take five minutes to post that on a forum of rabid stooges fans, is it? I can accept that things can/have go wrong, however it would be nice to be kepy up to date with them, rather than left hanging.

I've not been on here for a while as my computer at home is broken. The date on the website indicates that we should be getting our boxsets soon, so are we?
