| I know of Pete Townshend, Jeff Beck and Hendrix. Do you know of any other influences Ron named in interviews? If you do, I'd like to check them out. | |

| Brian Jones. He was a BIG influence on Ron. "All those little quirky guitar parts", as Ron put it. | |

| Ron was also into the Brian Jones look. As for guitarplaying, Roger McGuinn also. | |

As for guitarplaying, Roger McGuinn also. Ron could almost pass for Brian in some early shots. Ron was better looking though. | |

| Hi all,i'm new to this forum.I'd say Ravi Shankar was a big influence on his soloing as you can hear on the first album. You can find a video on youtube where he displays a raga style lick similar to the solo on "come together" from the "kick out the jams" album. Hope my english isn't too bad.... | |

| Welcome Boogie! You're right about Ravi Shankar. Solo in 'I Wanna Be Your Dog' is definately in the style of a raga.
