Indeed, it was a great set! What was funny in Börlange though, was that most people there seemed like they were there just for Iggy. The person standing next to me at the concert didn't know any other song than "Skull Ring", seems like he was bored during all the other songs! Haha!

Many talked about that this was the first time in Sweden (It was not). Some screamed after Search and destroy and The Passenger as the encore. Anyway! It was fucking great and I was in the front Row too.

That's the rough equivalent of asking the Stones to play Jagger solo shit.

| People who yell out for that are missing the big picture. Aside from the absence of Dave (RIP), this is the ORIGINAL Stooges. And Ron is geared to playing HIS songs, not those of James. They've got enough awesome stuff between the three albums. | |

And let's not forget Mike either, dammit. The Stooges are a BAND, not a supporting act for Iggy.
They're all awesome at what they do.

| How do they play when they play funhouse first and then stooges and weirdness songs? I read they're about to play it like that in Vegas. | |

Correct. They're playing Vegas, @ the Vegoose Music Festival in October (Halloween weekend.) I don't have the exact time and date yet. Check out the myspace page... http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=26540188Apparently it's Oct. 27th (according to iggypop.org)...so come to Vegas and party. Just watch the gambling! I wish they were at the Hard Rock, but oh well.

| StoogesMySpaceAdmin: In which order do they usually play the songs? First funhouse and then a mixture of the first and the third? | |

| Hi, Recent sets have usually followed much the same pattern -
Loose, Down On The Street, 1969, I Wanna Be Your Dog, TV Eye, My Idea Of Fun, Dirt, Real Cool Time, No Fun,
- Steve Mackay then joins the band onstage for the rest of the show -
1970 / Mindroom, Fun House / LA Blues, Skull Ring,
- Then depending on the length of the gig (festival shows tend to be a bit shorter) the last part of the show will probably include some or all of the following -
Little Electric Chair, Trollin', Not Right, She Took My Money, I'm Fried, I Wanna Be Your Dog (often called Double Dog)
If you are very lucky you may experience more Weirdness songs (ATM was played quite a bit earlier this year).
As we've mentioned before there won't be any songs from Raw Power as Ron didn't play guitar on those songs.
Cheers,
Richard | |
