Yes, thanks for the links Sway. I never thought I would ever hear the delightful dirge of 'Death Trip' ever again - not least by a reformed Stooges with James Williamson.
Takes me back two decades to when I discovered the tune on Raw Power. London should be pretty intense.

can't wait to hear a good recording of Dog, it sounds awesome, Iggy looks like he's having a lot of fun, getting real into it, throwing mike stands and his mike around. ha roll on Hammersmith.

Death Trip was some of the hottest shit I've EVER heard in my life, period. Slashing guitars, the best white drummer who ever lived behind the skins, Iggy killing it and 15000 Brazilians going ape shit.

I'll post more when I get home tomorrow; time is very limited right now and my laptop died the other day. I have 5 pages ofscribbled notes so I'll posting something soon, along with a bunch of photos on my facebook page.
Still feel like I am dreaming in witnessing this historic event.
Members of Sonic Youth and Primal Scream were on the sidelines rooting them on and enjoying the hell out of the gig. Unanimous praise from Bobby (Primal Scream) and Thurston n Lee (Sonic Youth) when I spoke with all of them this morning.
During rehearsals, Matt (front of house soundman) and I kept exchanging looks of Ï don't believe how fucking amazing this is! With each other).

This has to be THE concert of the year. Look at James up there behind Iggy again--SO cool. And isn't Gimme Danger one of the best songs ever written? Along with all the songs on RP. "I will do anything" to see this show. "I gotta feel it" live.

All in all, this is amazing. On the older Ron-era songs such as Fun House, I've noticed that James lays back a bit and lets the groove take over, rather than change the dynamics of the song by ripping leads of his own. Very tastefully done.
I still miss Ron, but this is the next best thing. The Stooges are still awesome. It's nice to hear the Raw Power stuff too. We're getting the best of both worlds.

It's amazing how good this was!! James exceeded all my expectations and then some. It's the first time since '74 that the RP songs sounded right.
