Watching the raw power documentary I couldn't help but notice that the version of raw power they show on the turntable had a red label with white columbia lettering. Is that the first US pressing?

Ian

PS man, this whole re-issue is a wonderful thing!

My 1973 US Columbia copy has black lettering. I think all Columbia LPs had black lettering back then.

Oh right. Thanks for the info. I have a copy that I was led to believe was an orig US pressing (KC 32111, sticker, pasted card sleeve) but it has sort of gold coloured Columbia's going round the label but maybe not...

I like the idea of black lettering if for no other reason that it gives me an excuse to buy yet another copy!

My Columbia vinyl purchased in '73 has black lettering also.

This site: http://goto.glocalnet.net/iggy-fanpage/STOOGES%20LP.htm is very useful, but they aren't pictures for every release.
