| Anyone watch this? Thought it was cool to see Iggy and Ozzy sitting next to each other for their interviews. Just imagine the stories those two could share... Sabbath and Stooges don't seem to get lumped together too often, which is interesting in that they probably both represent the same kind of influence on future "metal" and "punk", respectively. Iggy definitely looking in better shape than Ozzy though! Iggy's spot was short but sweet. He shared some wise and amusing words, but the piece was tragically missing any live footage, not even a clip, tsk. Apparently Jools was meant to present Iggy with a gold disc of Raw Power, that hadn't shown up, or got lost, so he gave him the new reissue cd instead! Hopefully the Stooges will go back and play a live set on it soon, with Black Sabbath. Now that would be a good show. | |

Ozzy don't want to work with the Sab, so Iommi renamed the band Heaven & Hell (they did a pretty good live album and a really boring studio one), with Ronnie James Dio on vocals (like the Sab in 79-82)... But since Dio is curently sick, they also have trouble touring with this band (they just canceled their summer tour). (Well, nobody gives a shit anyway.)

(Well, nobody gives a shit anyway.) actually i do, since I'm a fan of both bands, i saw H&H last year and it was a great show... I think sabbath and stooges had a lot in common in the seventies, they were very respected because they had both a honest attitude toward music, as ozzy said: "sabbath is aggressive music for angry people". i also remember interviews where Iggy and members of the mc5 had good words towards sabbath.

| Nearly all the (male) kids who liked the Stooges in the 70's that I knew also liked Black Sabbath and vice versa, when the Ramones and the Sex Pistols came along these two bands were the only ones who's records didnt go directly to the dumpster. I dont ever remember a girl owning a record of either of these bands however, although many girls bought punk albums, hmm interesting phd concept LOL..... | |

Yep. I thought Ig looked bored out of his brain whilst waiting for his interview. He maybe didn't realise how he was in shot quite a lot. He was probably pretty tired after a stunning couple of London shows. I was there on Sunday night and he gave 100% from the off. He was gracious during the interview too - despite Jools Holland proving, once again, he's a terrible interviewer. He didn't even know The Stooges had been playing gigs in London. Ig's definitely in better nick that Ozzy.

| Yeh, this wasnt great, jools didnt seem to know anything about Iggy, or really acknowledge him, you could easily have taken iggy away - not because of a boring interview or anything, but he was underused
decent show though, hope the stooges do make an appearance
