No details yet other than my intent. I will disuss it with some of Ron's family. I am leaning toward animal rescue since that is a cause Ron and I shared but no decisions have been made yet.

As for another actual tribute, like a gig or benefit, that would not be my territory so I have no news to share.

All the missing parts of my "Popped" package turned up this morning. The fanzine is great, written with energy, love and verve: a document for the ages . . .

Got both parts now and have to say the whole package looks really great. Many thanks to Carlton, Natalie, Edie and all those involved. Love the photos!

You should totally go for this. You'll be able to pickup an Unganos in the future, but doubtful this
package will be available except on the secondary market (ebay, etc...).

The CD sounds great. It has the roughness you would expect from 40 year old tapes of live gigs, but the sound quality is surprisingly good. Definitely not just for collectors only - I will be listening to this regularly.
Compared to YWMA? Well, like that set, the quality varies here depending on which gig it is taken from. Personally, I would say the sound is not quite as good as the best disc in YWMA (the Electric Ballroom gig that ends with Iggy talking about "the children of the night" - but then again, I absolutely LOVE that disc, the vocals are not so hot but the music is razor sharp, plus they are songs I had never heard before, so I think it's very special indeed.) Overall though, I would say the sound quality here is on a par with YWMA, and the best of Popped is better than the poorer quality sound of YWMA. For fans disappointed with low level vocals on some of YWMA, Iggy's vocals are clearly audible here. Don't take my earlier use of the words "poorer quality" as a criticism - I love what Easy Action have done with transferring very old tapes to CD on both these sets.
If you love Fun House era Stooges, you will not be disappointed with the Popped CD.

The rest of the package is great too - love the T-shirt.
