thanks so much for posting these on here jp stooges, and Anders too. Really wonderful shots, it's brightened my day to see them. Reminds me afresh of why I dig the Stooges, and that era in particular, so much.

Holy shit! That alternate debut album cover is so much better than the original one. How come I didn't know about this at all for this long? Are there any other official alternate covers/sleeves for The Stooges (that goes for any of their albums)? And how come it's always Sweden that has the rare alternate sleeve's albums? Why just them? Anybody else notice that?

P.S. I want that so bad! The photo portrays their unique, infamous, dirty-punky image and it matches their music much better in those photos than the original debut cover.

Sorry 1969, I thought it was obvious it wasn't real (if you followed the thread): Hector wrote both pictures could have a made a great front & back cover, so I made this up. And then, when rabid_fish asked if it was real, I made this fake ebay page. I wish it was real too (hence the fake seller name I put on ebay picture). Btw, you're right about swedish pressing (famous Yardbirds "street" & "studio" covers).

I knew it had to be a fake, but still checked ebay anyway, haha.
But the fake seller name turned out be real, take a look for yourself.
(don't forget the Swedish Downliners Sect sleeve too..)
