When first reading that GQ article I was thinking this is great, confirming that when James came in he was playing Funhouse tracks. But it seems the author has lifted bits from various earlier magazine articles so I'm not so sure. Nice to see Natalie get a reference.

Think the photo also confirms that these shots below are from Stooges time (I wasn't sure) as it looks to be the same photoshoot - Iggy-Fan are these also in the GQ article?

No, I posted all from a complete mag. It´s from april 1971, so it´s clearly Stooges time. Peter Hujar stands as photographer.

I posted on the WF Herman Alumni facebook page a while back to see if anyone had any memories of this, and got only one reply from a lady who said she vaguely remembers this but was too fried on acid to give any specifics!

The color set from december 1970 is just amazing. High school concert, weird dog collar for Iggy, and even Zeke Zettner, there's everything for a collector performance.



When I was at the Hellfest, I took a lot of photos of the Stooges with my small camcorder, and many of them sucked. But I liked some of them, so I thought I could put them here (I hope this is the right thread !) :

Throbbing Gristle played at my school! A couple of years before I was there unfortunatley.

Not in the same league as having the Stooges play but pretty bizarre nonetheless.

This is an interesting little photo. This is one I've never seen before. I stumbled across this one when trying to find a photo of the inner gatefold of Funhouse. It's a great photo, and it tickles me to see Iggy giving the middle finger to the camera. It looks like it was taken in 1969 because Iggy's hair looks like it did on the back cover their first LP.

Great photos Iguanas, are they from a magazine or something? I'm pretty sure they're taken in the hotel room right before the Asbury Park gig.
