| Hey do you think if the Stooges ever got more famous in the 70s. Do you think that they would of ever made a movie in 1973 like Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars Good To See You Again, Alice Cooper and Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains The Same
well if they did, that would of been cool

| The Stooges stage-show was a lot more spartan than those you mentioned and I doubt it would've translated well on film to a wider audience who couldn't get past the "bad" music in the first place.
I just wish they'd got off their asses, flown to Germany and done a few sets with live audio on Musikladen. Bands that appeared on Musikladen like T-Rex, Roxy Music, Sabbath etc. performed sets that, in some cases, actually surpass their LP's. A Stooges appearance would be considered canon at this point.

| Read about the context of those films. Pennebaker was unhappy with the Ziggy filming at the time, since the technology was rather less than suitable for doing stage-lit cinematography then. Anything you've seen recently has had the benefit of full digital restoration, unthinkable for what some considered flawed results 35 years ago. Besides, when the same question was posed to James W on his Facebook site of why wasn't there filming of The Stooges by such a media-crazed outfit as Mainman, he replied: it was all about Bowie. | |

| Tremolo Productions, who did the documentary for the Raw Power Deluxe edition, has said the door certainly is open for same, as they compiled a lot of unused material (not more live footage though: they used the best lit 2 minutes of the 6 minutes available.) | |

| It is a pity and a shame that there is nothing shot of the Stooges, it seems that only the concert filmed is the Unganos and is still stored in a box... | |
