| I'd rather they just did some new stuff. With the exception of slower songs like "Open Up And Bleed" Iggy just can't match the energy he used to be able to pack into his singing, besides it's fun live but hearing a 60 year old man sing "I got a cock in my pocket and I'm shoving it through your pants" would just be embarassing. "Trollin" anyone? | |

I'd be good with any of these, and maybe some '71 songs, and to really stir the pot, have Jimmy Recca play bass on some songs. | |

| I don't think they should record "scene of the crime" or "gimme some skin". These songs were recorded in good quality though they're not in any studio album...I would say that they should record the 1971 songs, then songs like "heavy liquid", "open up & bleed", "rubber legs", "cock in my pocket" and some new songs (some of what Ron left too). It would be good if they record with Jimmy Recca and Scott Thurston too...but i'm dreaming too much. | |

| Personally, I would love to hear Fresh Rag and Open Up & Bleed along with maybe Big Time Bum or some other '71 stuff. But lets face it, i doubt they're gonna go near that material. I'd say they're gonna stick with the unrecorded live staples from '73/'74; 'Bleed, Wet My Bed, Cock in My Pocket, Head On ect. | |

| Whatever they record,I hope they take their time over it and make a great album! Iggy should think more about were is voice is at these days and maybe do some bluesier stuff whilst still retaining the attitude and aggression of the band. Anyone who's seen the stooges lately can see that Iggys vocals are fantastic on stuff like Gimme Danger,Open Up And Bleed and I Need Somebody, personally I think any new material should be more in that vein, the guys are in their 60's they don't really need to make a punk rock album!!! | |

| But...those songs (from Olympia studios sessions 1972) were properly recorded, so I think that there's no need to re-record them. Just my opinion but they should record songs that they played live (like the 1971 stuff or wet my bed) or songs from bootlegs with crappy quality (wild love, head on, open up & bleed, rubber legs, etc.) | |

| Happen to agree that those songs are the most suitable for realesing.(rubber, wet my bed, 71' songs) Let's face it, this will not be as good as it could have been if an album of those songs was recorded at that time. Unfortunately mostly because Iggy's voice is not the same.. A ok recording should (hopefully) be better than the rather poor live bootleg sound, witch probably most of us are too familiar with. At least the sound will be clear. Now I seem too remeber I read some place here that they were rehearsing some of the unrealesed songs before this years touring, think it was from an interview with James. Anybody remeber witch songs were mentioned?? Guess 'Open up and bleed' are a pretty safe choice to be a candidate, as they've done it on most/every? gig. Heres for hoping for some 71 feedback flashback with Recca joining on bass | |
