| 1) Will there be a New Studio Album?
Do you think some of the stuff that Ron wrote will be incorporated into new stuff from this version of The Stooges?
2) What kind of Touring?
Will it be the obligatory Euro festival dates and a few "one-offs" in the US? Or, do you think there is a good chance of an extended US tour (i.e., 2007) ?

| Well I think Iggy and JW will work on new tunes and then try to record them. I don't see Rons newer tunes been included really however much I'd like to see this happen. | |

| I agree with all you say Ted. I would really love for Ron's material to be included, but I fear it's not that likely. | |

| It wouldn't make sense from a musical standpoint to use anything that Ron came up with. I love the Stooges, but some folks on here are pretty creepy with their rock and roll fantasies. You need to live in the real world. Ron is gone. The Stooges are all in their 60's and I doubt they are looking to recapture the past. I will be surprised if they record new material and if they do, that it doesn't tarnish their musical rep like the Weirdness sorta did. I hope they finish this tour and call it a day. They made their mark and have nothing to prove. | |

| I got the feeling they want to work on some of the older tunes and mix in some new ones as well. I pray that Open Up and Bleed finally makes the studio as that was one of the highlights of the recent tour. I would also love to hear Head On, which I think has one of Ron's best bass performances and Heavy Liquid. | |

| I for one HOPE that 2011 entails a rollicking Detroit Gig, maybe the Fillmore...
...It would be the FIRST appearance (in Detroit) of the Re-United "Williamson Stooges" since Metallic KO...
...A Detroit Apppearance with the current lineup is Unfinished Business IMO...

| Kaiserken, I respectfully disagree and in fact couldn't respectfully disagree more if I yammered on for a thousand years. Sparing you all from that, I feel that The Stooges, Iggy and the Stooges and Iggy Pop have always been about breaking the rules, exploring new territory and being sui generis. The present batch of original members from the 70's seem to be the only such reunion band out there with their credibility intact, and certainly the sole ones their age playing with undiminished intensity of yore. This is terra incognita, new, unknown territory for rockers "of a certain age," and a worthy challenge for this batch of basically unreconstructed music biz subversives. Who'd have thought there would still be new walls for anyone in rock music to topple from 2010 on? That's why I hope you in Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia and the East Coast of North America (despite any incipient "I got mine and screw everyone else" self-satisfactions) don't remain the only fortunate few ever to see it live. I can't wait for the challenge to be met even more forcefully in the future. They've got the goods to do it. | |

| It's not like the guys have anything better to do; they're not too old to play good concerts, but they're certainly too old to return to school. I expect them to play more concerts in 2011. New recordings? If a decent-paying Hollywood soundtrack wants a studio version of "Open up and bleed", sure. Otherwise, maybe.
I got mine? I wouldn't mind seeing them again!

| I'm hoping for shows in or near Ohio with Scene of the Crime on the play list!
James has already mentioned some new material.... Proper studio recordings of Bleed, Head On, Heavy Liquid and some of the mentioned new material would be fucking great!

| When James came back in the plan was 3 years and evaluate, probably ending it unless they're on a huge roll. It's obvious JW wants to get in some serious lix to cap things off should the prospective end truly be in sight, but the bread $ butter now is in touring hot markets which will fill most their time for '11. Outside of a few new tunes and maybe a live DVD to grease the wheels I'd look to a probably more restfull '12 for any possibly exciting stuff. | |

| That's more or less what was assumed by their french tour manager in an interview last month (Rock & Folk). So, that's a possibility, but I wouldn't bet on it, many people where convinced The Stooges wouldn't outlive Ron... They're not that predictable. | |
