Yo,

Jesus Love the Stooges. Here's my quick take.
The gig probably took place a day or two before the Allen Theater gig in Cleveland. Thus it's Jan. 15-17 of 1974. The gig they did in Cleveland is on the 18th and they played Toledo on the 19th.
A couple years ago I remember reading a review of the Cleveland gig. Per Nilsen gets credit for this. It seems that the band was late for the Cleveland gig and Dave Thomas, of Pere Ubu fame as well as Rockets from the Crypt, finally went and got Iggy from his hotel room. He lasted all of three songs before being pulled off the stage. To my understanding he accosted some women and her marine boyfriend nearly took him out, thus the early departure. Also from the syntax it looks as if the writer's a fool. Why say such things about someone when it's apparent you have nothing to say outside of personal digs?
Post the story please.

Anyone know what the Stooges article and photos are like from Circus October 1969? There's a couple on Ebay right now.

Also a Creem 1970.

I see the December Creem w/Iggy !

My copies in alittle better shape, but as far as photo's go -- most are ones you have already saw. The article is the writer talking bad about funhouse basically. Either way is a nice collectable. !

Hmmm, nope ! But if you get it, let me know if it's anygood. I'm not willing to do 75$ for it unless Iggy's right on the cover ! Smile That's what I collect.

Not a cover, but here's an article from Pluto magazine from New York 1970 that only managed to last one issue.

Interesting to see the writer's use of "Raw Power" referring to them in 1970.

What a funny article. Thanks for posting it.
And Nadja - you said exactly what I was thinking - you can see why it only ran for one issue!
Cheers,
Richard
