Unbelievably they are selling weekend tickets

Got a couple of tickets for the Sunday.

If you are thinking of going, ring the box office directly on 01244 304610 and avoid having to register on the website. I gave up trying to register after a couple of goes. The box office was much easier and saved a couple of quid by opting for picking up the tickets on the day.

Couldn't agree more over the idea of people actually buying weekend tickets! I'm so excited on getting tickets to finally see my heroes! And not far from where i live in Liverpool, too!

Didn't expect a festival here.It'll be interesting to see where the stage will be. The racecourse is a lot lower than the surrounding roads. Maybe huge screens along the roads will be the only way to stop people watching for free...maybe even book a room at the hotel where the old police station was and watch the concert out of your hotel window. Just a thought!

the line up has now been finalized with leftfield and feeder being added. it seems that leftfield are the headline act.

Shaun Ryder added for Sunday too...i've read in a few places Stooges are still top act and headlining

Can anybody tell me what pub the local Stooges fans will be drinking in after the show?

when i lived in Chester in the mid 70's i think i was the only Stooges fan...try the Bear and Billet at the bottom of lower bridge street.

This is one small festival!!!

We ended up in Ye Olde King's Head I think it was called, which was opposite our hotel. Not exactly rocking!
What a great gig though. The rest of the bands were a bit shit apart from perhaps Shaun Ryder. We spent some time in the local bands pavilion to avoid the sun. The music was better in there too. Small festival is right. As we were walking back past the site during Leftfield the crowd looked tiny.

I thought all the bands were shit apart from the Stooges, Pink Floyds dancing kangaroo did make me laugh though as did iggy catching that shoe thrown at him. It seemed every other person had an AAA guest pass, what was that all about. Still hard to believe the Stooges came to Chester and i'm pleased they did. Stuck a song on youtube.
