Better to raise a bunch of money and donate it to a worthy cause in his honor. A statue is just a hunk of material that birds shit on.

I wonder what he would have thought, and what the Foundation would prefer.
The best way to commemorate Ron's life and work right now must be to donate to his Foundation.
Maybe the town of Ann Arbor will arrange and pay for a public memorial - a street name, a statue or sculpture or whatever. It would be a fine thing to do.
