I noticed that Mullins just listed himself as playing the LA gig next month. I hope Scott is OK.

That's not good news. Not that I mind Larry's playing at all, it's just that Scott is the, er, Rock that the Stooges are built on. Has anyone ever said what exactly was up with Scott? Fingers crossed he's ok. Cheers, Richard

Where did you see that? His tour page for 2012 does not list him playing any shows with the Stooges after the one in Florence/Italy.
Scott was back with the Stooges for the Austin show on October 14.

Scott played Austin, I think the Morrissey show is canceled due to Morrissey's mother being very ill

Here's a link to the gig section of Mullins' site:
The Morrissey show is no longer there because it has been postponed, BUT Larry says he's playing the Australia festival in March.

Scott must be sicker than everyone thought or he is giving up on being on the road. Hopefully neither.

If Scott retires will it be the end of 'Iggy and the Stooges'? I know this has been suggested before - that there's no 'Stooges' without the Asheton brothers.

It could be a retire from the road, but not the studio type of thing. None of us know what's wrong with him, and the people that know aren't talking.

You guys might want to try watching the Austin footage with Scott back on drums.

I know what you mean. I went to gig! Scott seemed great - drumming the hell out of the drums.

I'm OK, it is not "the stooges" or "iggy and the stooges" But the more important is : Scott is sick, I hope he will be back again

That's definitely the most important part, not the semantics of what actually is the "Stooges" or Iggy and the Stooges"

I agree wholeheartedly.
It's just idle speculation, what would happen to the remains of the band if any of them retired for the sake of their health.
