I so wish I could go. 10.30 pm I imagine?

| The dutch station 101tv broadcasts saturday live from 3 pm until 00.30. So I'm almost sure Iggy will be live on that station | |

| It seems Iggy hasn't given permission yet for a livestream of his gig. All bands on the mainstage are programmed on the live broadcast except for Iggy. Here it says 'not yet decided' - Quote :

| Thanks jimmyo. That's a weird set list. I'd be delighted to see that show, but how well a festival crowd would appreciate it, I'm not so sure. Only "Skull Ring" represents anything from the last 30 years! And five tracks apiece from The Idiot and Lust For Life, and none of them are "China Girl". The order of the songs seems strange too - I would have expected the four opening songs to be the encore! Anyway, this is a welcome change from the Stooges only shows Iggy has played for the past 12 years, and I wonder if the rest of the tour will throw up any more surprises. Cheers, Richard | |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FMIvUAt0IU Thanks for those! Not bad, but don't you think it's rather, I don't know, polite and reserved? The band are playing the songs perfectly well, but it's all a bit soul-less, there's something lacking. The band doesn't really seem as if they are into the music much. the drummer is very mechanical, not much passion at all. And does "The Passenger" really need a rinky dink piano solo? Iggy is great - as always - but there needs to be a bit more power, yeah, raw power behind him. Cheers, Richard

| Meh. I've been spoiled rotten by the Stooges reunion tours (especially the Ron ones) and am just too far gone for this 'Blah-Blah-Blah/Instinct/Brick-by-Brick' level of clinical, uninspired competence.
Nice to hear the solo stuff again, but it all seams a bit loagy. Even the usually manic 'Five Foot One'.
Weird seeing Seamus with a beard. He looks less like a bad alien clone of Paul Shaffer now.
If they can produce a decent live take of 'Hassles', all is forgiven.
Fanboy nonsense: My dream band would've been the surviving Stooges rhythm section + Carlos Alomar + Adrian Belew (in a really bad mood). Or Turbonegro.

The music is very well executed and clean but slow and without energy. Maybe Iggy wants this kind of soft sound at this moment (He seems happy with this band) and for this reason he has chosen this setlist. In addition, there isn't any Raw Power or Iggy/Williamson song in the setlist... Cheers, Manel
