Starting this thread with the purpose of posting Iggy-related videos off YouTube - to avoid starting an individual thread sometime anything interesting is uploaded.
So, recently found his Letterman appearence from '82, but with good quality this time:

I saw Iggy 3 days before this appearance on Letterman in my hometown-such a scorching show! I remember taping this on my old BetaMax VCR.

Ha, did you really? So cool! Any interesting anecdotes from the show? This was a rather chaotic and frustrating time in his life.

During the early 80's Iggy always seemed to find someone in the crowd to verbally abuse, and this show was no different. The club had a very low stage. A girl was sitting cross legged on the corner of the stage and as soon as Iggy saw her he lit into saying things like "did your mom teach you to sit like that?". This was the last show at this club and Iggy used the low hung ceiling to create the rhythmic noise in Life of Work by scraping the mic on the textured light panels and then ended up punching out many of the ceiling panels and hanging from the metal frames the panels sat in. Those 82/83 shows were legendary!

The man turns 70 today. Here's a feature on BBC6 in regard to that:
Plus, a really cool interview on Rolling Stone: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Clip of Iggy talking about Lou Reed, along Lars Ulrich (who adds details about the making of the "Lulu" album)
And a classic clip. Wonder if someone has the whole interview anywhere.

thx Pop Stüge , great footage ( the source for the KTS boot cd ) , agree , Eric was a very tasteful guitar player , one of the best ! just check him out on TV Eye....still don't understand if he's still a professional musician...also worth mentioning is a young Larry Mullins on the drums who will later integrate The Stooges due to Scott's health issues.
as far as the doc on the PPD tour , IMHO it's really bad ( the doc , not the tour ! )
