| i asked if it was rhino. he said he heard rhino turned it down..
he also said the whole project was to get it released with a book. it wasnt going to be by its self.
lets hope it gets released soon.
I asked about Chicago 71 - he said that whole thing is a mystery... and that their not sure who has it for sure... but they'll try to track it down

| As mentioned EA no longer seem to be in the running for releasing Unganos, and the guy who has the tape seems to be involved in some legal battles of his own at the moment (not over the Unganos tape thankfully) so give it a bit of time. - Paul T wrote:

There's a lot of heavy politics involved with Sott MOrgan, the Fred SMith family, RObert Matheu and the Creem estate, Freddie Brooks, and others, and I think Easy Action fell foul of it. Seems lots of jealousy and backstabbing happens when band members die, other people buy rights, etc. Basically it fucks the fans! Can you imagine what the guys (who are total fans) who worked on the MC5 True Testimonial movie for seven years felt like when it was just about to get a general DVD release and then got pulled because of similar legal bullshit.

| MC5 True Testimonial is an incredible movie. It did the rounds of various film festivals some years ago, winning rave reviews, then literally weeks before it was to get a DVD release Wayne Kramer and his wife sued the film makers for using MC5 songs without permission????? Very weird as Wayne is interviewed all over the place in the movie so he must have known what it was about.
It has tons of great live footage and is put together with real love and attention. Even if you're not into the MC5 you'd enjoy this as one of the best Rock documentaries ever made.

| The boots are from pre-release press edition DVDs (if you've got deep pockets I've seen the original press releases sell for $300-400!). Great quality, my boot came as a 2DVD set, disk 1 The Movie + disk 2 being over two hours of Outtakes and live footage. | |

Pure rock and roll. Whoever took those had a great eye and great timing.

| My fellow Stooges fans
I was at the Ungano's show and this his how it went down. Sorry fans, but there was only one guitarist that night, playing a red fender hooked up to a Marshall stack----Ron Ashton. Zeke was on bass ( no Billy C.) Iggy, Scott and of course Mr. MacKay on sax. The boys opened up with LOOSE followed by TV EYE , DIRT, 1970, FUNHOUSE and finally LA BLUES. We didn't stay for the encore--had to catch the last bus back to Jersey!! That was either the wednesday or thursday show, we got to Ungano's around 10pm and sat somewhere dead center about 6 to seven rows(floor seating no chairs) from the small stage. Iggy and the boys didn't come on untill 12:15. Some months later one of my friends saw them again at Ungano's this time a second guitar player possibly Billy C. played with the Stooges. I hope that answers some questions. Next time I'll tell you seeing the boys at The Electric Circus. Totenkopf

| You were lucky, that is a legndary show! That was the first Ungano's run of shows in Feb 1970, where they'd more or less worked out the 'Fun house' set and was the one where producer Don Gallucci first checked them out... he decided they were unrecordable! I think these were the shows reviewed in Billboard, and others.
The band recruited Billy onto guitar just after they recorded the album, so he played on their three nights at Ungano's in August, along with Zeke on bass to replace Dave who'd been sacked earlier that month. It was one of those three later Ungano's dates, that Danny Fields recorded.

| I was at the Electric Circus Show. In fact, I was at 2 different Electric Circus shows. One with Ron and Bill on guitar, and another with Ron and James on guitar with Jimmy Recca on bass I believe.
