Anyone who could post the chords thats used in the song? I cant make it out myself for some reason Crying or Very sad

The chords, as heard in the recordings are: C - D#Maj - A#Maj (verse) then C - D#Maj - A#Maj - G#Maj - F (the end of verse) and when 'tell me lies' part comes - G#Maj - F - D#Maj - A#Maj - G#Maj - F - C. the bridge is A#Maj - C - F - G#Maj - C#Maj - G#Maj - C#Maj ( as heard in the recording ). If you listen to the slow, studio version of 'Open Up and Bleed', it's like that. Follow the rhythm and play the chords along with it. I can also transcribe you the riff that James is playing ( I succeeded to work out also the live version hahah Very Happy ). Hope it's all clear and understandable Smile Cheers!

I'm not to good at what a maj and such are. I'm real good at building chords and stuff, but I'm not to good at transcribe them.
Care to post some sort of tab or such?
I have some book to read myself to it how to play, but I'd suffer less if there was a tab Wink

the tab for James' riff in 'Open Up and Bleed' is:

E----------------------------------||
B---1---------1---------4---------||
G-----3----3---------3--------3--||
D----------------3-1--------3----||
A-3-----3-----------------1----- ||
E---------------------------------||

Enjoy Smile

JESUS_LOVES_THE_STOOGES: I have read music in school, and therefor I know Maj stands for Major.
But I don't have any use myself knowing what each chord is called and such.
I play with my ear, I find it easier to listen after sounds to get the music to match the drums. Easier to get those Velvet Undergound - All tomorrow parties vibes. I can't figure such things out by just thinking music theory.

JamesWilliamson82: Could you post tablature of the chords?

Borntohula: sure, no problem Smile

Each blanket is for each chord:

C D# A# G# F C#

E----|---|---|---|---|---|
B----|---|---|---|---|---|
G-5-|-8-|-3-|---|---|-6-|
D-3-|-6-|-1-|-6-|-3-|-4-|
A----|---|---|-4-|-1-|---|

The tab may look somewhat fucked up, but generally this is it Smile

Wow I liked that "Open Up And Bleed" cover a lot. Does anybody know where I can get a version with the ending verse:

"I'm a bitter man and anyone can see
But you won't get me down on my knees"

I have the Metallic KO version, 6 minute studio version and 2 and a half minute studio version.

The live version on September 16th at Whiskey A Go Go in 1973 has those lyrics Smile And the recording is almost 13 minutes long! Smile
