Has anyone ever read the original "Funhouse" review in Rolling Stone. It's GREAT and is what put me over the edge to originally check out The Stooges back in 1970. If you'd like, I can scan it and post it (I don't think it's anywhere on the web).

well...if it's not already on the web... then you definitely have to post it! Thanks! Very Happy

btw, when did you first get the debut album? (I've got to ask because, incredible as 'Funhouse' is, the first album is my personal favourite)

Here's a cool 1985 review by Henry Rollins from Spin magazine that I really like.
The underlines were done a long time ago for another reason.

WOW!! Thank you very fucking much Chazz!! Actually I found the Funhouse review by Charles Burton to be quite funny Smile But one thing I don't understand - "...And that swastika on Scott's lapel." -> WTF?!? I always knew that Ron had obsession with that nazi stuff..and saw that 'Iron Cross' pics..but never with swastika..and I would never concern that with Scott..hmm Smile

I think he meant Ron.

Some people do seem to get them confused. At least Scott thinks so. Laughing

AWEsome, thanks Chazz!

'picturesque' Iggy's 'blatantly poor' imitation of early Jagger! Laughing

Blatantly poor imitation of Jagger my ass. Laughing

Sure, I know Ig copped a few ideas from Mick. But he took them about 30 levels UP.

That's like saying Scott is a poor imitation of Charlie Watts. Or Ron a poor.....uh, well you get it.

Rolling Stone critics were and ARE a bunch of fucking hacks.
Rule of thumb: If they say it sucks, BUY IT.
