I've been checking out setlists from this site http://www.iggypop.org/dirtstradelist.html
and i've come across some songs from around 1980 such as, Hassles, Puppet World, Fortune Teller, The Endless Sea, Sister Midnight that aren't on any album but seemed to have been played several times. Were these early demos that weren't recorded or are they covers?

Hassles was a Soldier Outtake type of thing. As was Puppetworld.

Fortune Teller was a New Values Era Type Of Demo.

The Endless Sea is on "New Values" Album

Sister Midnight Is On "The Idiot" Album

Hope I helped !

Wow, thanks for such a quick answer, while i'm getting these things cleared up, any chance you know where Winter of my Discontent and Little Boxes come from? Soldier sessions again? I think they're both from around 1981. I'm really interested in all the "lost" songs that have disapeared from Iggy's repetoir over the decades.

The Winter Of My Discontent was a long experimental thing which often ended up turning into The End by The Doors. It's on the semi-leagal bootleg Nuggets which is worth getting. Loads of solo live rarities. I have never heard of Little Boxes before though.

Winter Of My Discontent is a "Soldier" Era song. It was probley even an outtake from that album.

Little Boxes Is a "Zombie Birdhouse" 1982 Era Song & was the intro to the beginning of most 82 shows he played. its a funny little skit with him singing about how much he loves boxes, lol.
I think it was just something they came up with to open shows.

Hope this helps.

Puppet World and Hassles are on Nuggets too. It's well worth getting unless you've already got Wake Up Suckers and We Are Not Talking About Commercial Shit.
