Hmmm, okay..that's the Swedish singer Sofia Allard covering Stooges' classic... James posted that clip today on his facebook profile, saying: '....This is soooo Swedish...I wish life was Swedish Magazines...anyway, it's comforting to know that Iggy and the Stooges can do a lounge act at some point....it works...."
Not the kind of music that I'm used to listen to, but nice to chill...

I watched this on his page also. It's amazing how well the words hold up to a COMPLETELY different arrangement.

its good, it is quite swedish, i dont think the lyrics or attitude of the song mixes with the musical style they have, i think gimme danger might have served them better but its good nonetheless
thanks for posting

I like hearing different takes on Stooges songs rather than just badly copied versions of the originals. This really shows off the lyrics which (I think) are some of Iggy's best. Still preffer Peaches' cover of it though

yeh, i thought the peaches one was really good, and they're some of iggys best lyrics definitely
i remember going through iTunes, typing in iggy or names of songs or something and theres a lot of covers, some strange ones, like a cat poweresque version of 1970, cant remember who it was by, it was alright, and ubiquitous dog covers by punk bands and stuff

Sorry, but I think that Sofia think is absolutely awful. How do those lyrics fit that style? I suppose it's meant to be ironic. It's just bad.

hey paddy08,
It's not that poor, I like your sound, drums are really close to the original Allthough the band's "stage presence" is ... the opposite of Iggy's ;-)

Paddy08, I really enjoyed that, I like the kind of moody twist your band puts on it...(I know there won't be ANYone to agree with me but the soloing on the original RP album is a little bit too high and frenetic for me anyway!) do you do other Stooges classics? wish more ppl on here who're in bands would upload their stuff!

Aye depending on the night we might do I wanna be your dog, Tv Eye, No Fun or Raw Power... Thanks for the positive feedback... That was the 1st tune we did that night and the guitar was way too low in the sound but Fuck it.... For what it's worth this is to me the best cover version.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tgl1QonOlHg&feature=related

Yeah, I also like Dead Boys cover. Btw, nicely done James' solo on your band's 'Search and Destroy' cover. Cheers.
