| Hey, that ''I'm Sick Of You'' cd by Bomp i think was on itunes, i was looking at it, it has the 3 raw power proposals on it, but the fourth song is ''Shake Appeal/ Tight Pants'' labelled as 1972, it sounds too clear to be 1972, but i was shocked i never knew there was anything from that time, is this literally 1972, yeh? | |

| It's '72, right enough. Along with "Sick Of You", "Scene Of The Crime", "I Got A Right", and "Gimme Some Skin".

| Itunes has noticed its mistake, i like to think because of my participation on this board and thread, lol but theres two listings for I'm Sick of You, one Shake Appeal / Tight Pants San Diego 1972, which to me seemed odd, as i have stated earlier in this thread, and they have rectified this with another listing of the album, yet now the song is under san diego 1978!! i knew something was off | |

| Sorry!, I didn't read your first post closely enough. I thought you were talking about the vinyl album, I didn't realize there was a cd called "Sick Of You" that had an alternate track listing.
Doh! | |

| If you check out early photo's of the Damned, Brian James is often wearing a "Metallic KO" t-shirt, Rat had one too, and if you want to get really "anal" about it ... there's a shirt that Brian James wore a lot that previously belonged to James Williamson. I kid you not.

| Oh yeh!! all the time, and if you use your imagination the record comes alive, i turned it up so loud it was like i was there, and i had read that nikon cameras, and bottles and eggs and fruit and a shovel or something were all thrown up!! and you can hear things
and one of my favourite, 'sides the music, is Iggy, the man is full of death trip charisma; lines like;
"we dont hate you, we dont even care!"
"you can throw all the crap you want, and you girl will still fuck me!!"
and the best one as the record ends before a couple of bottles;
"I AM THE GREATEST!" lol i love iggy

| "Only" U.K. punk?!?! Idiots?!?! I think we'll have to agree to disagree on that one!, haha. Re Sioux and Strummer I'd say spot on!, but re the Pistols, about as far wide of the mark as you can get.
But, if you want to check out some U.K. "punk", I hate that term as did most of the English bands tarred with it by a lazy middle class/middle aged music journalist, that I think might meet your exacting requirements, check out The Users "Sick Of You"/"(I'm) In Love With Today" single.

I agree with wat you are saying, although my point about them being mclaren's bitches is quite true, even lydon admitted it on their last gig i think it was when he stated ''ever felt like you've been cheated..." after playing No Fun, but i do admire lydon in a way, amean i like Pil, but the sex pistols were just a bunch of working class lads who found something and ran with it, with the help of a marketing mastermind at their back, having destroyed one of the best bands ever learning how to do it (nydolls) and i will check out the users, although i should point out, i do like to 'research' before i make an opiniona nd i read clinton heylin's tome on the tale end of US punk (patti smith/televisiontalking heads/pere ubu/rocket etc) UK punk in total as it was short lived and then back again for a spat on US seattle grunge scene; Babylon's Burning: From Punk to Grunge, and also bought the 4CD Babylon's Burning: Rough n Ready guide To Punk Rawk 1973 - 78 and delved into the scene and the way its written was there with those guys, but i do believe i am right about that - not to challenge you or anything, its just my opinion, ive also read and would extremely recommend Please Kill Me, which goes into UK punk for the other half of the book, just stating the sources, music wasnt bad tho, nowhere near the guys who title this forum tho! lol although little are!
