History of Dennis Thompson joing Ron Asheton's New Order

Hi Dennis, nice site. Can I ask a couple of questions:

1) What's your take on the MC5 True Testimonial Movie fiasco (if you're allowed to discuss this in public)?

2) Ron Rich a photographer I spoke to, says he has some photos of Iggy playing drums with the MC5 at the Detroit Rock N Roll Revival in '69 - so were you ill or something that day and is this true?

Make the forum we'll come visit. The movie is a sad story. Can't say any more than that. I don't rmember Iggy playing but in 1969 anything is possble.

saw you play with DKT/MC5 in 2006 (same year i saw stooges for the first time and the dolls - the holy trinity!), and it was amazing, had tickets to see you guys again last year i think, but it was cancelled, i think the reason was Wayne Kramer had surgery or something, i hope he's feeling better and you guys get on the road again soon, it was one of the best gigs i've ever seen

I'm having a go at putting an MC5 forum together. I've never done anything like this before so we'll see if it goes live or not.

Oh and HL I'll be ripping off quite a lot from here, hope you don't mind.

i have, and i have a scanner now, so i'll post that

also posted some photos i took at the gig, theyre on the board somewhere, ill re post them here if you want

just found the tickets, so lll scan and post the as soon as i can, also found a sticker i bought at the gig and two newspaper clippings about the gig, so i'll get that all up soon!

Hey Dennis, you´re one of my favourite drummers that´s for sure! Just got some "new" MC5 stuff recently, I´ve been looking for some old video stuff, but not sure if there´s any... High Time has become like my fave record, but I like Kick Out... and Back in... too!
