Iggy Pop to Make a Christmas Album?

In an interview with Relix magazine (via NY Post) coming out next month, Stooge Iggy Pop hinted that his recent foray into jazz won’t be the only genre experiment for the punk legend. “I am a real threat to cover ‘White Christmas’ this year,” Pop said. “I’m warning you now: I’m ready, cocked and loaded.”

This sounds both awesome and really hard to imagine, but then again, I haven’t heard his new jazz record Preliminaires yet. Pop also hinted that he wants to take a shot at Roy Orbison’s “Only the Lonely” and Frank Sinatra’s version of “Willow Weep for Me.”

Hey Scorsese, I think we’ve got your lead for the Sinatra biopic.

yeh, i think people get a line from an interview and create fake news around it, case in porint, this 'story' was also reported on contactmusic.com, which pretty much lies lol

i agree the williamson thing sounds promising
