I think it sounds pretty good for what it is, an audience recording. The band sounds very powerful.

I don't think it's THAT great, it's good, at least in parts, but not that overwhelming, don't know what I was expecting!

| It can be heard on Vanity Ballroom gig, first of the tour, that the songs were startin' to get shape. Electric Circus performance shows how the stuff improved within a month. N***er Man sounds just perfect. | |

Hey, I think you're thinking about the story in I Need More where Iggy says because he ate all that vegan stuff he shat green and they put up a sign saying "come see iggy he shits green"

| I've had the Starfighter bootleg for years, but this is actually the first time I can hear those tunes, so I'm not disappointed at all. I've heard (and made) better recordings, but never by a better band... | |

| oh...it sounds sooooo good to hear this....but I'm really disappointed at the same time...... With technology as it is now.....they could have done a much better job on the vocals and still stayed true to the original sound...maybe it was a budget thing? Or more of a garage operation? Or a stupid engineer? ...now I"m really bummed....that was such a tease..... | |

| From what I can hear, the third cd sounds like it'll be the most ace. Iggy's voice is there in the background and the guitar, bass and drums easily the heaviest. I really want to get to listen to the rest of it, almost a good teaser that only one song from it is up for listenin! Bottom line, I'm pleased with what I'v heard with the preview thingy. I can't wait till the cds themselves will arrive. And if they'd get the uganos gig out there'd be a document for 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973 and 74's stooges. | |

...now I"m really bummed....that was such a tease..... Considering this was a hand held recorder in the audience, it's pretty good. I think the band (guitars and drums) was overpowering the PA and being a former soundman and a current studio engineer there would be no possible way to get the vocals any louder if they aren't there to begin with. Remember this was 1971 and PA's were very primitive then compared to now. I think they did a good job on EQing what they had to work with, audience recordings from that era usually have no bass and sound like they came through a telephone.
