Yes unfortunately I always wanted to hear "Your Pretyy Face.." on live
One of my favorite Stooges's tune.

I am just thankful and grateful they did come back. They can play whatever they like to play. In January it all seemed to be over. Then James made this possible. There is this moment in "Dog" when James starts the solo, Iggy turns around, looks at James and then falls to the floor. It's as if it's all too much and he cannot believe it himself – The Stooges are back on stage playing "I Wanna Be Your Dog". Long live The Stooges!!!!

It happened for sure, even though even from my vantage point (behind the guitar amps) it all seemed like a dream It was epic, dangerous, chaotic, theatrical and brilliant. Ity was the real fucking thing.

Wow, man, you were there! Can you confirm the setlist? James' guitar sounds huge, like a monster, in that "Gimme Danger" audience film. Unbelievable!!!!

I think the setlist posted is correct (Iggy called quite a few audibles throughout so I am relying on memory). It was very chaotic handling guitar/ stage security duty (the crew is small; 5 of us take care of instrument teching, stage security, etc).
But I wouldn't give up that slot for anything!

James is a bit sloppy in places, but the Stooge engine just keeps rolling. I can only imagine how good they're going to be by the time they tour here.
For a first big show in 35 years, I think James just tore it up. Kill City, Johanna, Raw Power, 5' 1" and Search and Destroy and almost all the rest just beat the living hell out of any of the other bands Iggy has ever played these with.

Oh, I totally agree!
This is rock'n'roll - if there isn't a little bit of sloppiness, you're not trying hard enough.

Williamson made a few mistakes, but hey, they're not rehearsing for that long now. I'm a little bit worried about Iggy's voice, it sounded to me he has more trouble to get it right than he did in the past. Probably blasfemy, but he might be beginning to feel the years.

I agree - Iggy, probably for the first time that I've noticed, was beginning to show his age. His voice wasn't too bad, a bit tired in places I thought, but his body seemed weary.
However, in his defense, you have to think that barring a couple of gigs (containing generally much slower material) earlier this year this was his first Stooges show for over a year. The energy levels required by Iggy for a Stooges set must be immense. And he's probably not up to the heights of fitness he achieved over the past few years while the Stooges were touring more regularly. Mike Watt always mentions how tired he feels after a Stooges gig, and he's not leaping all the stage and the audience like Iggy.
However, Iggy is not a young guy, that limp has got much worse, and he was looking pretty tired by the encores, with only sheer adrenaline keeping him going. He clearly wants to keep doing this, but I wonder how much longer his body will actually let him do the kind of super high energy performance he always tries to give?
Cheers,
Richard

I agree with Adams - looks like he put on a tiny bit of extra weight as well (which might explain why he unzipped his trousers!). He seemed fairly annoyed with the band during some of the songs (see just before the seven minute mark in Funhouse where he basically slams Mike's bass into his face); I know it's only early days but hopefully they'll iron these things out.
The post-gig interview is hilarious by the way!

Iggy always said even back in the day that the raw power material was right at the edge of his range. Now 30 some years later, hes having trouble reaching the notes. I dont see why they dont just play it in a lower key. We would notice, but the great unwashed wouldnt, and it would probaly sound better. /But no matter, if he plays anywhere in the states next year, with the stooges, i ll be there. Saving money now.
