awesome turn out. a few bits i remember off hand were:

- the silver gloves were bought at k-mart.
- regarding walking on the crowd's hands at cincinatti pop festival, he said he was trying to walk on air like jesus.

i took a few photos that will eventually be up. nothing professional. there was a section for media/reader/friends. it was kind of empty on that side, so my parents + i actually sat with them, without being told a word about leaving. so i was in the third row on the right side. saw nina + lucky (their dog) on the left side, front row.

they had a quick q+a session. they eventually had to wrap that portion up though due to people asking a lot of questions. i didn't have anything to contribute.

then it was time to meet the man himself + robert matheu. i waited years for this, especially since my close encounters in 2007 at various gigs. he was extremely approachable, very nice, down to earth, no bullshit.

he was surprised to meet my parents. when he found that out, he grinned + gave them a handshake. nothing but nice things to say.

you always have your first impressions on someone. all i have to say is:

a class act.

i could go on + on .. but i definitely don't want to bore you all with the signing portion of the session. i didn't stay too long after meeting him any ways.
