| http://www.avclub.com/newyork/articles/the-stooges-to-do-raw-power-live,35632/Is there an album more resistant to the increasingly creepy and regressive idea of isolating a set of songs and playing them all in succession live? Well, yes, of course. But not many! The Stooges' Raw Power has already been through a lot, beginning with a notoriously wan original mix by David Bowie that Iggy Pop himself decided to revisit and correct for a re-release in 1997. Now, as made known at Pitchfork, it will get the "Don't Look Back" treatment at next year's All Tomorrow's Parties fest in upstate New York. It's not until September 2010, but know now that the power of Raw Power will be up for debate, along with other albums to be played whole at ATP: Sleep's Holy Mountain, Mudhoney's Superfuzz Bigmuff, and The Scientists' Blood Red River. And oh, a taste of one of those acts who would be at least a little bit more resistant to the retrograde curatorial impulse... Also got the email 1. ATP NEW YORK To continue our year-long celebrations of Ten Years of ATP we are thrilled to announce that All Tomorrow's Parties will return to Kutsher's Country Club, Monticello for it's third ATP New York festival over Labor Day weekend, running from Friday 3rd September – Sunday 5th September. Weekend and Day Tickets are available, with a Layaway Ticket option available. Tickets are available from today on pre-sale via ATP, and will go on general sale this coming Wednesday from ticketsellers via www.atpfestival.comWe are incredibly excited to announce the start of our line-up... On Friday 3rd September we will present our regular day of Don't Look Back performances, with a very special list of acts set to perform: IGGY & THE STOOGES performing Raw Power SLEEP performing Holy Mountain MUDHONEY performing Superfuzz Bigmuff + Early Singles THE SCIENTISTS performing Blood Red River (first ever U.S. Show) + more to be confirmed! | |

| i was going to go to this, but i am passing. a part of me wants to go for the iggy+the stooges + mudhoney, but i would rather wait for a possible show elsewhere on the east coast. $110 for one day, in a festival setting is pretty boring to me. i am definitely not a fan of festival shows, but that is just me. | |

| If ATP NY is anything like the ones in the UK it is worth going to. I assume it's all indoors, not standing in a muddy field getting sunburned/soaked? | |

| Im really torn by this. Not sure if i should take the 4 hour drive to New York and pay the $200+ for tickets and expenses or hope for them to announce a slightly closer/cheaper gig on the east coast. I dont know any of the other bands playing with them. Any opinions on what i should do? | |

| Sounds like some of you think this is in NYC. It's not, it's at an old country club in the Catskills a couple hours upstate. I'm definitely gonna try and make it to this if I can. Sounds like the rooms at the venue are already sold out, the ones left are at another motel that they offer a shuttle bus to. Raw Power would be fantastic on its own, and Holy Mountain? Good NIGHT! | |

Go anyway. If they add another gig you'll get to see them twice | |

| I'll be there. Stooges, Scientists (and later in the weekend, Fucked Up). I'm curious ot see how the May show in the Uk shows will be. IMO, Nothing will top the Stooges w/Asheton but this is a close second. | |
