According to Trynka in 'Open Up & Bleed' - (pg. 192) James & Iggy recording 'acoustic' demos of eight songs including 'Johanna' and 'I Got Nothing', 'Kill City' and 'Beyond the Law'. This tape was then given to John Cale and "would languish unreleased for many years."

When have these been released. He's clearly not talking about the Kill City sessions as funded by Ben Edmonds that would later go on to become the album. Anyone heard these or know what Trynka's referring to?

On a similar note - pg. 195-196 - Iggy & David recorded 'several tracks' at Oz Studios is May of 1975, 'one of which was a song that would later turn up as Turn Blue. Anyone heard any of these tracks or know of there release?

So much left to hear

On his facebook page J.W. denies being the guitarist in some of the acoustic demos. Most of them were covers.

That's a different tape you're talking about - you're thinking of the long tape of jams and covers that is the source for a few tracks on Wild Love etc. The Kill City acoustic demo tape is something totally different and has never been circulated.

Yeah, David and Iggy did demo recordings in 1975 that have never been released.
I guess, Bowie still has those demos somewhere...some of those songs would later turn up on Iggy's "Lust For Life" and "Idiot" albums and on Bowie's "Low" album. Legend has it that Iggy and David Bowie even recorded a demo version of "Sell Your Love" - song that Iggy had already done in Kill City sessions with James Williamson. Let's hope that someday they will re-release "Low", "Idiot" and "Lust For Life" on CD with bonus demo tracks.

its more than likely any tape given to Cale will be lost, he's lost some of his own tapes on his own record label!
