After the New York Dolls yesterday, what a great weekend it has been.
So, the set in the right order, was :
Raw power Kill city Search & destroy Gimme danger Cock in my pocket Shake appeal 1970 Night theme Beyond the law I need somebody Penetration I got a right I wanna be your dog
Your pretty face is going to hell Death trip Open up & bleed
Fun house Johanna
An amazing gig. Iggy was really pleased with the audience, and gave us a second encore. The show lasted nearly an hour and a half... A complete Raw Power, great versions of I need somebody and Open Up (J.W.'s got more feeling on the slow tunes), what else could we want ? Iggy even did four stage dives !
I never saw a Stooges setlist with a second encore, does anyone know if (and when) that already happened ?

Now I'll have to track down a bootleg. Maybe I should have bought one of those overpriced usb things with the show on mp3, but it didn't even have the whole show. If someone happens to know where to find a good audio of this show, I'm interested.

Hello everybody,
I've seen Iggy ten different times on stage, and the Stooges at Magny Court some years ago. Yesterday's show was amazing, Iggy is on top form and he was obviously very happy to be here.
The sound was absolute mud, but the Stooges blew the place. Don't miss them if you can.
Top respect forever.

Whoever it was who yelled hello Derek and waved to me last night as I was setting up guitars it was much appreciated. The audiences in France have been so great to the Stooges, brilliant!!!!

We were there to, was a wonderfull show. Wasn't sold out. The setlist misses LA Blues.
Iggy only managed three shows not stagediving

Iggy introduced LA Blues at one point, just before Night Theme if I remember correctly, but it lasted 30 seconds top. I think it can be overlooked. ^^

They played a minute of LA Blues, then Night Theme –> Beyond The Law. So, yeah, the setlist should include LA Blues.
An amazing show. I was born after The Stooges first started, so I thought I'd never get to see them live. Then the reunion happened and I got to see the Ron Asheton version of the band. When Ron died I thought it was all over. And then James came back and made this possible. Thank you guys! Only The Stooges set free that primal, force-of-nature, total abandon in crowds. I was in the front row right in front of James and it was out of this world!
Random thoughts: The band and Iggy seemed to enjoy this show a lot. Scott even smiled several times! James concentrated on his playing very much but sometimes looked up – probably in amazement – at the frenzy they unleashed. I counted three stage dives by Iggy (Penetration, I Got A Right, Dog). There might have been a fourth during the encores that I missed worshipping James ;-) Steve is now on stage for the whole show (as in Brazil) and plays saxophone, percussion, Casio and harmonica (on Open Up). Before Shake Appeal and the stage invasion James made an apparently well-prepared and seamlessly executed move behind his amps to escape the mad dancers. Derek carried the pedal board. So funny :-) And Derek, you are great , man – James can count himself lucky to have you by his side!
All that AND we got to hear Johanna!
The Zenith staff were well-organized and friendly. Great experience. Merci beaucoup!
Btw: I can fully recommend that live recording offered on USB-sticks after the show. If you bought it in the hall you got all songs up to and including Penetration and a download code for the remaining songs. I got mine and downloaded the remaining songs today – no problem. The show is now for sale on the website indicated above (mp3 download or USB-stick). The sound is great. Soundboard (of course) and a great mix. Get this NOW!
What a band, what a show! Thank you again!

Is this USB/download thing they did in Lille a first or was this done at other shows in the past as well?

It's a frist for the Stooges, if it's what you ask. Next time will be London.
