| Don't think this has been posted, apologies if it has - from Blurt: http://blurt-online.com/features/view/598Some good news in there, re: new Stooges songs: - Quote :
- "I think for sure you'll see a single or two out of us this year. We're pretty busy with tours, so it's not so easy to get into the studio, but we're working on it. Once we feel pretty good about the music, then we'll go in and cut some tracks and get some things out there. There really isn't a market for albums anymore, so whatever we can get out there will be fine."
Also I was greatly amused by the following, and I'd love to read the Fortune interview James is talking about - anyone got it? - Quote :
- "I did an interview with Fortune magazine and the take of it was kind of The Suit and The Stooge and they talked to a whole bunch of people who had worked with me, traveled with me, but never had any idea about The Stooges until recently. Everybody probably knows now. The Internet is pretty open, but back in the day they didn't know at all. It was quite a shock for some people, but they got over it and they kind of like it because it's unusual."

Not so long ago, Iggy talked about recording some songs from the 73-74 era. From the succes of the song on tour, I'd say it's quite possible that we see a studio version of Open Up & Bleed pretty soon. There's also the songs Ron was working on at the time of his death, that Iggy seemed eager to record.

| I was thinking about one CD of new tunes and the second full of old tunes (open up and bleed and co).
And an important thing : Ron's tunes !

Same here ! I never hear a guitar who sounds like that before Raw Power. That's why I can't wait for new studio recording. RAAAAAW

I havn't seen that article yet, but he's talking about his former Sony exec contemporaries who had no clue about James' past life. Once some found out and it became a topic of discussion they asked him why he never said anything about it, and his perfect response was "it never came up". Which leads me to a thot I had this morning, what did James put on his resume when applying for a position at Sony? I'd love it to be something like "I'm James 'The Skull' Williamson, what more could you possibly need to know? Now where's my corner window office?"
