| My favorite album is Fun House, but I voted for the Raw Power era cause there's all these great outtakes and live tapes in addition to the album itself. | |

| raw power is great and all but... they lost something when ron was replaced... the first 2 albums are quite better than raw power, they're more avant garde, while raw power is more square or, if excuse the term, kindda "rolling stone" wannabe... of course that iggy and the stooges didn't lose that "fuck you" acttitude that caracterized them, but musically they lost that proto-punk avant garde "thing" (can't describe it)... of course i think it's just that they evolved musically. i mean, it's not even the same band (the stooges on one hand; iggy and the stooges on the other)... but i prefer the classic 67-71 era. | |

| Original Stooges for me.
I love everything they did musically, but the first, original band will always be tops with me.

| I went with the 68-71 era mainly because of the duel guitar set up in 71...you get the funhouse era sound with the raw power era sound...best of both worlds. | |

| I think the stooges have had more 'periods' than this, more sounds
like 67 to early 68 was all experimental stuff, blenders etc 68 to early 69 was getting actual instruments and playing songs - sort of 69 was the first album and shows 70 was funhouse and live shows, unganos etc 71 was the dual guitar thing and electric circus type shows 72 was raw power band and 73 - 74 were the fuller raw power sound and other material
also 2003/4 reunion and the skull ring songs 2007 weirdness material 2008 ron starts to play raw power guitar parts 2009/10 james is back, so far no new material but a great sound
the recent years havent been great for new material, but i've included them anyway, danny fields even said the 2003 - 08 version was better than they were originally

Couldn't agree more. The 71 setup should be an own category.. The Stooges never sounded better, though I haven't of course heard the Ungano's yet. "You want my action" was made for a single-release, while the rest of the set are among the bands best work. The fact that this never got a studio release is the largest crime in the history of music.

| If I had a time machine, I'd check out a '71 show. It's the perfect blend of both eras, but mostly... for all the wrong reasons. (If I knew them as people, I would no doubt think differently). | |

yeah, I will go with Dave Alexander era too... It's too early to talk about the Raw Power reunion, - they have only done few shows and no recordings. I love Raw Power album - but the "Metallic K.O and Georgie Peaches era...the tour..hmm..not bad but not so good." So Raw power inlondon, amazing and the Dave Alexander era, yeah - thatś were itś at.

| Iggy in those silver gloves dog collar and jeans looks the sickest in 70,the Goose lake material is just great classic peanut butter Iggy,Funhouse is THE best, when those first few notes of Loose ring out, whether in teh car,at home or frontstage center!!!I lose it! The coolness of 1969 the song, wow, early stooges for me.I love Raw Power to death,Penetration just rocks,I Need somebody, all great, but the early stuff does it for me.Ron's wahwah dirty guitar sound...amazing. | |

| Definitely the Dave A era for me, particularly Fun House.
Imho, if you add "1969," "I Wanna Be Your Dog" and "No Fun" to the Fun House set, you have what may be the greatest set list ever. An aural wet dream!
