I've only seen the Stooges bit from this festival, what's the other stuff like?

I have the section from the Traffic performance. Its ok but pretty dull and pedestrian compared to the Stoogelings. Needless to say I would have much preferred to see their whole set. But in typical tv style you only get a snippet of the best stuff.

I'd like to see that. How does Alice handle it?

The whole thing's a hoot. Grand Funk? Mountain? What's not to like? Well worth tracking down!
One of my favorite bits is the guy complaining about the high ticket price - a ticket to the festival probably cost less than a Big Mac does today (ie less than the "convenience charge" that Ticketbastard adds on to already expensive tickets now).

Including a paragraph that begins "Since Heath’s crew — with three cameras at their disposal — taped everything, it had to select just five acts for the 90-minute broadcast." (The legend starts here).
But not a single mention of this lot, who did play, and should've been in the film ...

Thanks Ted! I like this Pink Floyd style Alice much better than the later rock Alice.
Anyone got the whole Midsummer Rock film without the numbers on the screen, they might like to swap for a good, clean DVD copy of the whole Goose Lake movie?
