The full semi-acoustic set was Raw Power, Search & Destroy, Gimme Danger and I Wanna Be Your Dog with Steve on sax. Have to say, it was very very cool and sounded great!

It was a very cool and unique performance, to bad it was due to a serious weather situation.
That stage looks seriously messed up, that had to be scary as hell.

That was the bigger stage they played the acoustic set on. The slightly smaller stage that the Stooges were gonna play on was seriously damaged. We were up there ready for the show when all hell broke loose. Rain started coming sideways onto the stage in buckets, wind that almost knocked me down, debris flying everywhere, then to covered "roof" blew off. We were scrambling to get the gear offstage then within minutes the stage was declared a danger zone and we had to wait for someone to loan a hard hat for us to get the remainder of the gear. Luckily for this gig it was lighter travel with a rented backline so we didn't have to worry about amps. Seriously scary business!

Christ, Derek, that must have been so frightening. Hope everyone was ok. And well done to Iggy and James for braving the weather to deliver at least a partial set. Cheers, Richard

Thanks for posting the videos studioguy / stooges
sounds like an odd experience but kinda cool, and nice of ig / james to play for the crowd anyway
gimme danger was great, sounds shamanistic or something
its a testament to james' playing which has progressed and iggys vocal performance too
sorry to hear about the problems to the band / crew Derek, hope everyone is ok

These made me think about Iggy and James writing the Raw Power album in the hotel room in London. The songs still hold up striped down to the essence.

a few friends of mine were there. i am not too sure how many people have realized what they saw before their eyes is one of the rarest events in iggy+the stooges history.

Seems nothing can hold those guys down. Acoustic "Dog" sounds terrific with Steve.

Read Mike Watt's diary for his take on the events in Finland. It sounds terrifying!

What must have been especially terrifying to Mr. Watt was the reality that he couldn't escape at all without assistance, which fortunately eventually came, because of his new disability.
Those of us who've been through disasters, the '93 Northridge earthquake which killed my across the street neighbors in the case of yours truly as well as a 500ft. tent collapse in a sudden windstorm at a dog show just as we were entering (900 people and dogs indeed had to flee for their lives. I got dragged by my large dog, tearing my rotator cuff,) know how extraordinarily awful these things are. Disasters seem to go on forever while you're going through them.

the poster for the festival had them billed as iggy and the stooges. there was a storm that hit the area and destroyed part of the festival stage.

Yeah the whole band was playing but then the storm hit part of the stage which caused Scott and Mike (along with all their equipment) to be blown into a tree 10 miles away from the stage. Being the showmen they are Iggy, James and Steve kept going.
