- Some Goodies from my collection. Hope you enjoy them!
First out the Stooges singles: Includes the original stock copies as well as the promos. The strange cover is the Thailand press with other artist including. The Rationals single included Iggy as Bass drummer on "Feeling lost". Iguanas as original and counterfeit. Some Polish playable postcard and Russian flexidiscs.
I love vinyl! I want these so badly Whats a good price to pay for an original "I Wanna Be Your Dog" single in excellent or very good condition? - Quote :
- Second: The other Stooges singles that came out after the split.
Well I have an amazing two of those "Search & Destroy" and "I Got A Right" on red vinyl.

Stock or promo? I think the red promo with large text is the easiest. One went away for $142,50 lately. I think that is the market price today. Stock copy more.

| I just found a download for it. The songlist is strong, and for the most part the sound is pretty good. I was wondering what your take was. | |

| Yeah I like this one a lot!! Like I had mentioned in the Complete Funhouse Sessions thread, one of these days, my budget will allow me to get all of these collections. For now, I'll hunt them down in singular fashion. | |

| St Andrews Hall Detroit 8th November 1986I believe I've told this story on the board before but I love tellin' it so here it is again... I was at that show with my friend Monty (I know some members here know him) and some other folks. After the show we were out back of St. Andrews waiting for Iggy to come out. Which seemed to take forever. Monty looked down in the gravel and saw a TDK MA (metal) cassette lying there. The tape was in excellent shape and looked like it hadn't been there too long. Since it was a hi-grade tape, Monty chose to keep it not considering what might be on it. Iggy finally came out. We chatted with him for a bit and got some autographs. We had essentially forgotten about the cassette and went back to the hotel and partied the rest of the night. The next morning, I was awakened by Iggy music that was clearly the previous evening's concert. We had also recorded the show so, initially, I thought nothing of what I was hearing. But, I soon realized, it sounded a LOT better than the tape we made would have. Was it being broadcast on the radio? Much to my surprise and delight, Monty was playing the TDK tape he had found. It was a virtually complete (one song is cut slightly as the side was changed), superb quality soundboard recording of the show!!!!!!! We couldn't believe our luck. I'm not certain if Monty still has the master (he sold some of his massive Iggy collection a while back and I know several folks were interested in the tape). Within a few days, I made a copy in my studio. As far as I know, my copy is the only studio-made copy and it's indistinguishable from the master. Even so, I wish I had been the one to pick up the tape. We saw it at the same time but Monty was the one to grab it so he had dibs. I haven't heard every appearance of this show on disc but the one's I have heard were all, clearly, several generations removed from Monty's master (my copy has never been copied). I know he traded out many copies of it. These are the autographs (if you'd actually call them that) I got that night. | |
