On the one hand, when I looked at this, the levels are a little high, *but* it doesn't sound like the compressed modern CDs despite that.

It's got a great warm sound, with better seperation than all the other versions of this concert that I've heard (official and unofficial).

The running order is jumbled up, but it is from the original tapes...it's got the full intro to I Wanna Be Your Dog (where Iggy says "Now we're gonna perform...", and someone shouts "What in the World" and Bowie laughs in the background).

Recommended.

no probs, I hope as many fans get that version of the show as possible, as despite the running order issue it's the best I've heard yet.

As commented elsewhere, if the show was mastered to that standard - and included China Girl, it would make a great bonus disk for any expanded version of "The Idiot".

This is the running order -

Turn Blue
I Wanna Be Your Dog
Search and Destroy
Raw Power
Funtime
1969
Dirt
Gimme Danger
TV Eye
No Fun
Sister Midnight
I Need Somebody.

It is exactly the same as the earlier official and bootleg versions (bar the spoken intro to IWBYD - which was present on the bootleg and radio recordings but not on the official releases).

I am not sure where my TV Eye is...I never liked it much to be honest. I have read on there that one track - Dirt I think? - was definitely different.

So that would suggest the recording was made across two nights.

Perhaps they only kept and released highlights? Perhaps what we have is all that's left, and they simply used the different take of one on TV Eye to the radio broadcast version?

i listened to tv eye live of the 3 cleveland tracks dirt is defenily different to ''wild animal'',jesus this is iggy'' ,suck on this'', the cleopatra lp,etc.
the running order from ''jesus this is iggy''and ''suck on this''must be right?
still i hate it to have 5 incomplete ,mixed up running order or poor sounding lps,cds and radio tape.
