Thanks studioguy! Lollar came as close as humanly possible to duplicating them. He pulled apart the originals and copies every aspect.

That guitar is really different sounding than any LP I've heard or played or owned. It's almost P90/Mini humbucking sounding. It's really lively sounding with no typical LP mud

They reverse-engineered them, which in all likelihood means they opened 'em up and saw how they were made.

My '81 Custom has T-Tops, but sound nothing like that one! Not that mine sounds bad
