"James Williamson dropped his guitar backstage at a Stooges gig and broke the headstock off. The repair was done by Scott Thurston, who later took over Williamson’s guitar duties in the Stooges and then became the keyboard player with Tom Petty."

Yeah, "huh?" When was Scott ever the guitar player in the Stooges? I'm not positive, but he may have done a little guitar work on Iggy's early solo stuff, but never with the Stooges.
